Silver Jubilee Convention-Security Information
To all Jubilee Conference attendees:
The Security Plan for the Silver Jubilee Convention is already
arranged and prepared. Since our Jubilee Convention is the largest
gathering of the Syrian Orthodox Parishes in North America. It is
very important that everyone is aware of the security protocol
arranged for the program. Our goal is to provide a safe and peaceful
convention from July 22 to July 25, 2010 in The Garden State
Convention Center, New Jersey. Our security committee is in
cooperation with the Franklin Township Police Department, which is
the local police department. It is our responsibility to let you
know there is a zero tolerance for any misbehavior.
We want to highlight some of the security measurements that we
arranged for this program:
1. Attendees must wear their ID and wristband at all times.
2. No one is allowed to get in the Convention Center without ID.
Security guards will check every time when you enter the Convention
Center.
3. If you lose your ID/wristband, you must get a new one from the
registration desk and pay additional $10.
4. While entering the Conference hall, we would like to encourage
you to form a single line.
5. It is important that all participants be seated while any program
is running in the Convention Center except worship time.
6. We will encourage all participants to form a single line for each
table or desk. (registration and food courts)
7. Everyone must follow volunteer’s directions.
8. Only authorized personnel and program participants may enter the
stage.
9. Children are not permitted to run around in Convention Center.
Adults must accompany children under 12 from 6pm to 6am.
10. All participants are responsible for their own personal
stuff/valuables so keep it in a safe place.
11. In case of medical emergency contact medical team and security
personnel.
12. Franklin Township Police officers/security guards will be
present at the Convention center throughout the conference. Please
cooperate with them.
13. While any program is in progress inside the Convention Center,
there should be no gathering outside the Convention Center that is
not related to our event.
14. If any problems/conflicts occur inside or outside the Convention
Center, Police will intervene.
15. After the program, attendees must go back to the hotel
immediately. You’re not permitted to wander around the Convention
Center.
Thank you,
On behalf of the Security Committee
