Cultural Program Guidelines

Content:

The cultural program will be conducted in the form of a competition between the participating
churches.

Only programs that are allowed are: skit and group dance. Your program must be compatible for presentation in a spiritual/family gathering. The content of the program must be approved by the vicar of the church prior to performing on the stage.

Time:

10 minutes will be allotted for each church. If a church's program goes over 10 minutes, the church will be disqualified from consideration for a prize. Ample warnings will be given about time.

Back stage projection of images and movies:

Movies can be in real player or windows media player format. Still photos must be in jpeg or save in a power point (ppt) format.

Stage lighting:

There will be plenty of lights to create light and shadow effects. Plus they will be using moving head lights that can create strobe/spot effects - this is to enhance events like dance, etc.

Microphone:

There will be plenty of microphones available (no pin on or headsets). All microphones will be on stands (corded and cordless).

Important Note for all Participants:

1. All tracks, music, images, movie, etc must be saved to one CD per program - CD must be original with no scratch or damage.

2. Each church can designate up to two people to sit with the sound and light (one person with light and one with sound engineers) to direct the appropriate setting for the program.

3. For Skits - the cast members or one person representing the group can show the light/sound folks how they are going to use the stage they can arrange mics and lights accordingly - You must do this on on Thursday before 3 PM.

NO traffic what so ever will be allowed on the back side of the stage - this is to protect the rear projection equipments.

Registration Deadline:

Due date for the registration for the cultural program is May 30th, 2010. You must enter your team on or before this date to participate in the competition.

Prizes:

There will be 3 prizes awarded: 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the winning churches.

Discipline:

Remember, this is a spiritual gathering. You will be expected to act and behave appropriately. Sportsmanship and spiritual and cultural discipline must be maintained. The decision of the judges will be final.
