Choir Competition Guidelines

Content:

The choir competition will be conducted in the form of a competition between the participating
churches.

Only aradhana songs are allowed. (Holy Qurbana, Wedding, Baptism etc.) The content of the program must be approved by the vicar of the church prior to performing on the stage.

Music

Music must be made into tracks (via CD or mp3); no instruments are to be used.

No voices are allowed to be recorded on the track, only instrumental. If vocals are heard on the track, the church will be disqualified from the competition.

Time:

10 minutes will be allotted for each church. If a church's program goes over 10 minutes, the church will be disqualified from consideration for a prize. Ample warnings will be given about time.

Handing Over CD

Please hand in your Church's CD to the your respective regional coordinator on the day of registration (Thursday July, 22). All CD's must be handed in by Thursday in order to be used in the Competition.

Please make more than one copy of your CD (2-3 copies), we will not be held responsible for lost or damaged CD's.

Judging:

A panel of judges from outside our diocese will be the judges. The decision of the judges will be final.

Deduction: For every minute used over 10 minutes allotted time We may disqualify your team from the competition if you go over the time.	-0.5

Discipline:

Remember, this is a spiritual gathering. You will be expected to act and behave appropriately. Sportsmanship and spiritual and cultural discipline must be maintained. The decision of the judges will be final.
