Heritage Procession

Saturday, July 24, 2010 3-4 PM; arrive and be ready by 2:30 PM
Garden State Convention Center Parking Area

Uniforms / Dress Protocol:

Men: Kasavu Mundu/Juba
Women: Kerala-style set –sari/dress
Boys: Black pants/ white shirt/ red tie
Girls: Black pants/skirt and white shirt/top
All Priests: Black kuppayam

Inauguration

All participants should wear uniform and report by 2.30 PM at the parking lot of the Convention center. The procession will start at 3 pm. It will be inaugurated with a "Dove Releasing " Ceremony.

Procession Route:

Procession will start at 3pm on Saturday, July 24 from one end of the parking lot. It will terminate at the convention hall. The public meeting will start immediately on the conclusion of the procession at around 4 pm.

Procession Order:

1st Row, 4 people - 2 in middle holding the Jubilee banner (10-12’x 3-4’) and on each side one muthukkuda each.

2nd Row, one person holding Kurissumontha or wooden Cross

3rd Row, one person holding the Patriarchal Flag in the middle.

4th Row, 3 people in one line , one holding US flag on one side, in the middle one Indian flag and other side one holding Canadian flag

5th Row, Thalappoli with at least 50 ladies in uniform.

6th Row, Marching Band from Garfield School, NJ.

7th Row, At least 25 Muthukkudakal

8th Row, Velli (Silver) or swarna (Gold) Kurrissu (Cross)

9th Row, Chenda Melam group (Professional Group from PA)

10th Row, Council members and Jubilee Convener and all coordinators each holding a diocesan flag. (15+13=28)

11th Row, Various churches (39) each with its own banner in front in middle, behind that children in 2 rows, then men on one side (left) and women on other side (right side).

12th Row Deacons in 2 lines, followed by priests in 2 lines, then corepiscopas in 2 lines.

13th Row Mekkatti with thirumenimar, Oriental and other Bishops, Other dignitaries and VIPs.

14th Row, 2 Security Personnel just behind the 13th Row.
